• 1. Open the Alexa App.
  • 2. Touch Communicate.
  • 3. Touch Message.
  • 4. You will need to allow access to your contacts to use the Message function. Touch SETTINGS.
    If you have already allowed access skip to step 7.
  • 5. Touch the Contacts on/off toggle.
  • 6. Return to the Alexa app. Touch Message.
  • 7. Touch the desired contact.
  • 8. Type your message and touch the send icon.
  • 9. You can send a message directly from your Echo Dot (3rd Gen) Smart Speaker — 866/3968, by saying "Alexa, send a message to {contacts name}.". Follow the Alexa voice prompts to send the message your contact.
