Maintenance Washes
- 1. Ensure the washing machine is empty before carrying out a maintenance wash. Add any specialist cleaning products to the appliance, following the instructions on the packaging.
- 2.
Start a high temperature wash cycle (60°C or above). This cycle will run the cleaning product through the washing machine, helping to kill any bacteria and remove any residual washing detergents.
- 3.
When the high temperature cycle has finished, pour 250ml of white vinegar into the detergent compartment of the detergent drawer.
Refer to your appliances user manual for information on the detergent drawer. - 4.
Start a warm temperature wash cycle (40°C). The white vinegar will help to remove any remaining odours.
- 5.
After both wash cycles have finished, clean the door seal and detergent drawer.
For more information, see the Cleaning the Detergent Drawer topic. - 6. Check that the pump filter is free from obstructions and clean.
