Positioning food

Always follow use by dates and suggested food storage times.

1.

Meat and Fish – Store in a suitable container and place at the bottom of the fridge.

Caution : Ensure that fish and raw meat do not come in contact with other food.

2.

Cooked food, cold dishes etc: Cover and place on any shelf.

Caution: Do not put hot food into the fridge as this will cause the internal temperature to rise, which will make the compressor work harder and will use more energy.

3.

Vegetables and Fruit: Store wrapped in plastic or paper with air holes at the bottom of the fridge.

Caution : Ensure that fish and raw meat do not come in contact with other food.

4.

Cheese and Butter: Store covered in air tight food wrapping and place on the shelf.

5.

Milk Bottles: Store in the door shelves with a lid on.

6.

Place food evenly throughout the fridge so that air can circulate around it. Cover of wrap food especially if it has a strong flavour.
