Common voice controls for Alexa

1. Volume commands — There are 10 volume levels for Alexa. For example say "Alexa, volume 5.".

2. Mute / Unmute — Say "Alexa, mute." or "Alexa, unmute.".

The light ring will turn red when muted. You can also mute/ unmute your Echo Dot (3rd Gen) Smart Speaker — 866/3968 by pressing the Mute button.

3. Stop — Cancels any request being performed. Say "Alexa, stop.".

4. Pairing — Say "Alexa, pair.". This will put your Echo Dot (3rd Gen) Smart Speaker — 866/3968 into pairing mode.

5. Maths — Alexa can answer both basic and complex mathematical questions. For example say "Alexa, what is 15 percent of 1437?".

6. Weather — To get a local weather report, say "Alexa, what's the weather?".

7. News — Alexa will give you the latest news. Say "Alexa, what's in the news?".

8. Alarms — Set an alarm for a desired time. Say "Alexa, set and alarm for 10:30.".

9. Music — Ask Alexa to play specific types of music from Amazon Music. For example say "Alexa play chill out music.".

10. Playback — When listening to media you can control the playback with commands such as skipping tracks, play and pause. For example say "Alexa, skip.".
