• 1. Your washing machine will probably have been supplied with a Hose Support Crook to help suspend the waste pipe on a wall at the required height. Attach this to your waste pipe before fixing it to the wall.

    The waste pipe needs to be elevated to a height of between 65cm and 100cm, this allows the waste water to drain away more efficiently and stop water being let back into the machine.

    Push the hose down into the standpipe, making sure that it cannot touch the bottom of the standpipe.

  • 4.

    If the waste pipe does touch the bottom it may or cause the drain to leak or overflow or your machine may not drain waste water away efficiently.
