1. Once plugged into a power source, press and hold the power button until the Start 25 comes on.
2. The Start 25 will start up to a welcome screen.
3. You will now be advised to register an account on the tomtom website if you haven't already.
4. Touch Next to set your home location.
5. Select your home country from the list and touch Search.
6. Set the language by selecting it from the list.
7. Touch Next.
Touch Change language to change the language before continuing.
8. Select Your home country and touch Search.
9. Select Your home city from the list or search.
10. Select Your home street from the list or search.
11. You will be asked to share your navigational information with TomTom, touch Yes or No to continue, or touch More info for further information regarding this request.
12. Touch Done to startup the Start 25.
13. Read the legal warning and touch I Agree.
14. You will now be directed to the Main Menu where you can; plan a route, view the map or run through services and settings.
