    Remember that you will be working with hot food, so always ensure that all safety requirements are fully in place before you start any cooking and please exercise care and caution as you follow the steps in this guide.

    Take care when opening the lid as the food will be hot. Always use oven gloves and wear an apron to help protect yourself from burns.

    Should any part of your CleverChef catch fire, do not attempt to put it out with water.

    • Pull the plug from the socket or switch off the electricity supply to the CleverChef at the mains or the fuse box
    • Smother the appliance using a fire blanket or use a carbon dioxide extinguisher if available. You may also use, if they are available, dry water mist extinguishers and foams if they have been tested to the 35kV conductivity test.
    • Dial 999 and ask for the Fire Service

    When opening the lid food will be hot, always wear oven gloves and an apron to protect against any splashing hot food.

    Ensure your CleverChef is unplugged and completely cooled down before cleaning.

  • 4.

    Do not use the appliance if the CleverChef or the power cord is damaged, the CleverChef has fallen, shows visible damage or does not work properly.

    Never try to operate the CleverChef when the inner pot is empty.

  • 6.

    Always cook using the inner pot.

  • 7.

    Use the CleverChef only on a flat, stable, heat-resistant work surface away from any water sources.

  • 8.

    Do not leave the power cord hanging.

  • 9.

    The CleverChef must not be immersed in water or any liquid.

  • 10.

    During cooking, the CleverChef gives out heat and steam. Keep face and hands away.

  • 11.

    Do not fill the inner pot above the MAX line.

  • 12.

    Ensure that the 0.5L line is covered by liquid and food.
