• Note: Once setup you can simply ask Alexa, "Alexa, what does your light mean?".
  • 1. Yellow Pulsing — Alexa has a message or notification. Say "Alexa, what are my notifications?" or "Alexa, what are my messages?".
  • 2. Cyan Spinning — The Echo Dot (3rd Gen) Smart Speaker — 866/3968 is starting up. If the device is being set up for the first time, the light will turn orange when ready to setup.
  • 3. Cyan spotlight — Alexa is listening. The light ring flashes when Alexa has heard and is processing your request.
  • 4. Red — Indicates the microphone has been disabled. Press the Microphone button to turn it on and off.
  • 5. Orange — Your Echo Dot (3rd Gen) Smart Speaker — 866/3968 is in setup mode or is trying to connect to the internet.
  • 6. Pulsing Green — You are receiving a call on the device.
  • 7. Spinning Green — On an active call or an active Drop In.
  • 8. Purple — During setup if there are Wi-Fi issues. Also shown when processing requests, when Do Not Disturb is enabled.
  • 9. White — Displays the selected volume level when adjusted.
